About Kidney Disease Foods

Kidney Disease Foods is a free food database for people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Every food page shows the phosphorus, sodium and potassium content of a food per 100 g, compared against the CKD stage 3-4 daily limits, and a clear rating tier.

The project exists because dietary advice for CKD is often scattered across leaflets and forum posts. We built the reference we wished existed: one place where any food can be looked up, every number has a source, and the rating logic is public.

We are not a clinic, we are not a supplement brand, and we do not sell diet plans. We are not doctors or dietitians, and nothing on this site is medically reviewed — by design. What we do is present measured food data through a transparent, public rating rule, and we say so plainly on the medical review policy page.

The site is free, funded only by readers who choose to support it.

The site never asks you to enter your stage, blood results or any personal health data — it only presents food data, so nothing on these pages can be mistaken for a personal diagnosis.
